A Canadian journalist and player for 35 years, Michael has been actively involved in the online-offline backgammon scene for more than a decade. He has reported live from backgammon events worldwide. In 2002, he was awarded the prestigious Chairman's Trophy at the World Backgammon Championships in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
