How to post backgammon position problems and their analysis.
The GammonLife.com Forums are at this link: http://www.gammonlife.com/glforum
Here are instructions on how to post the boards for backgammon position problems whose strategy you can discuss with other users of the GammonLife Forum.
For now we a reusing Jeb Horton’s excellent GO-Figure utility.
GO-Figure boards
The instructions on how to create a GO-Figure board position are on Jeb Horton’s website at http://home.carolina.rr.com/backgammonclub/GammOnLine/Board/board.html.
The utility looks like this:

Once there, under “Forum” just use “GammOnLine” (which is the default one anyway) and then follow the exact instructions to create your position problem.
Once done, use the “Show HTML” button, highlight and copy the code in the window that pops up, and then (very important!) first paste it into a Notepad file and then copy it again from the Notepad file, and then paste it in your post on the GammonLife Forums.
Your board will be displayed in the GammonLife Forum as show below, with Red (as bottom player) and Green checkers (for the top player):

When you prepare your post in the GammonLife Forum, always click the "preview" button rather than the "submit" button, because, if you have used a match length and score in your GO-Figure board, the accompanying text will indicate that Blue as the bottom player and White as the top player. In the preview you can simple delete Blue or White and type in Red or Green, according to the position.
If you have any questions about these instructions please post them in the forum.
