MASAYUKI MOCHIZUKI
Masayuki Mochizuki of Japan bested Lars Trabolt of Denmark 25-20 in the World Championship Final in Monte Carlo, Monaco played on Sunday, July 19, 2009.

Congratulations Mochy!

The exciting final was broadcasted live at on ustream.tv - Mochizuki is the current #6 Giant of Backgammon and Trabolt the current #16 Giant.

Lars Trabolt, known as "Trabi" by friends, was the 2008 Monte Carlo World Backgammon Champion, and therefore was going for his second world title in a row.
