Here now begin photos from the Awards Ceremony starting with trophies presented to the winners of special annual categories and the side events played at this tournament:

...to the stage as Director Marco Fornasir presents a special plaque to Arda Findikoglu of Turkey, President of the WBF Turkish Backgammon Association, for his years of support of the Worldwide Backgammon Federation. Arda attend this year's 19th European Backgammon Championships with 16 other players from Turkey. GammonLife Editor Michael Strato was also presented with another plaque for his cooperation and support of the WBF. A photo of Strato receiving the plaque will come later from one of several players that were also taking photos, in fact, there were no less than 10 others taking pics.
Arda was very honoured and made a nice speech thanking everyone.

Directors Resch and Fornasir present trophies to Warm-Up Winner Zbigniew Szczerek of Poland and Warm-Up Runner-Up Feza Diyarbekir of Turkey.
Board maker and WBF sponsor Alfredo Sperti (C) presents a fine backgammon board to Hormoz Shahrokhshahi of Germany, Winner of the Sperti Trophy event. To Sperti's left is Sperti Trophy Runner-Up, Martin Barkwill of the UK.

Piergiorgio d'Ancona, Champion of Italy (C), was the winner of

the 8-player, €500 Super Jackpot.
