VIDEO CLIPS

Here is something you probably have never seen online - video from the Awards Ceremony of a backgammon tournament.

These videos are far from professional although we took them with a good quality Sony digital camera. There were spotlights in the background on either side of the stage so we had to choose an angle and just try to stick it. We have uploaded them to GammonLife in a file size that while quite large works well from tests we have performed - there might be little pauses or skips while the image is buffering, just give it time to load and let it run on its own. We could have compressed the file to a small size but then the image quality would be poor.

There are two videos and they are spoken in French and English - you will see the video start in French but then whatever is said is then repeated in English and the dialogue switches back and forth throughout both videos.

The first video is under six minutes long and shows Partouche Gammon Tour Director Eric Guedj and Partouche Gammon’s wacky columnist Franck Stepler starting the ceremony - this video relates information on the success of this year’s Partouche Gammon Tour, what players can expect in the forthcoming 2008 tour (six great tournaments planned), and the announcement of the three players that topped the 2007 Partouche Gammon Tour’s ranking list, and more.

The second video is the complete part of the ceremony where trophies were given out to all the winners. It is 31 minutes long, so be patient and let it download into your media player (example, in Windows Media Player, you will see “buffering” indicated with the percentage downloaded so far).
